Polka dots and leather- What a strange combination! My managed to snatch this leather pleated skirt for me at White House Black Market (Which is generally for the more mature/older women, heh) on sale! I have been searching for a leather skirt quite awhile and I am in love with this skirt! I added my polka dot sweater to liven up the look and add a pop of colour+fun. My nails even managed to match the sweater! As day turned into night, I added a pair of tights and a trench coat and went to get Sprinkles with friends. Fun!
Until next time,

My sister flew over from SF to visit my mum and I last week, and thank goodness she was here! For my photo final we had to take four pictures that were inspired by a photographer. And of course I chose Nirrimi Hakanson! I have always wanted to take photos at the beach, but I’ve never lived in a place where I could! (No beaches in China, the coast in Oregon is only bearable in the summer if you’re lucky, and Arizona is a desert. Enough said).I was lucky enough to have my sister model for me, and I have to say that working with models is pretty tough. But fun, none the less. So here are a few of my shots that shout summer!
Have a lovely day!

The Girl Who Cried Wolf

I’m getting braces tomorrow at two (I vow to never speak again until I get them off). And it was this fact that drove me to dress nicely for most of this week. So here it is! One of the last outfits that I pranced around with before I got my braces. My sister recently gave me an amazing wolf sweater from Zara, and I am in love! Ever since Kanye wore his Givenchy ‘Rottweiler’ sweater last year, I have been obsessed with animal sweaters. The sweater is ridiculously itchy though, so I wore a white silk button up not only to stop myself from scratching, but also because the collar compliments the sweater nicely. My friends from school also pitched in to buy me the American Apparel chambray shirt that I have been dying to get. I know! How great are my friends? I was so ridiculously ecstatic that I even hugged them! (Fact 1 about Nicole: I dislike hugs). And of course I paired my adorable chambray skirt with a pair of black tights and black patent loafers, because California has been strangely chilly lately. I’ve also developed an obsession with bracelets (If I haven’t mentioned it before!). My mum got me the Timex woman’s watch from J.Crew for Christmas and I haven’t taken it off ever since. It is absolute perfection. The small face gives it a very feminine touch, and it doesn’t hurt that the straps are also interchangeable. That’s right, you heard me! Interchangeable. Yeah okay, sorry for drooling over my watch. I’m off to stuff my mouth with all the food I can eat before I get my braces tomorrow!
Much love x

Good Day Sunshine

Hi guys!
I know I haven’t blogged in quite awhile (Hey, who misses me! Anyone? Oh). I have been enjoying my winter break by sleeping, eating, shopping, and going on adventures. I met up with one of my friends on Wednesday and had a cute little picnic in an avocado grove. The place was absolutely beautiful, unlike anything I’ve ever laid eyes on. We (More like I) danced around, climbed trees, threw avocados at each other. Despite the fact that we couldn’t open the jam for our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, I had a great time. Hope all of you are having a great break!

American Apparel Wishlist

I just noticed that I haven’t had the time to go to American Apparel ever since I moved back! Probably because my mum despises the store…. And because it’s expensive. But oh well. I plan on possibly making a trip soon! With…. Someone besides my mum. I wanted to buy the chiffon dress in China but it was almost double the price (Because American Apparel is ‘made in the USA’ and imported so it’s more expensive in China). Maybe I can get my hands on it soon!
1. Chiffon Oversized Button-Up $58
2. Chambray Full Woven Skirt $38 Jan. 13th. 2011. Late birthday present from my friends!!!!!!! (They are the best!)
3. Sleeveless Lace Chiffon Dress $60
4. Chiffon Double-Layered Full Length Skirt $58

Pre-Christmas Shopping
December 5th, 2011 § Leave a Comment
I’ve haven’t spent Christmas in the states since seventh grade (When I lived in Portland) So I’ve been all excited about all of the sales going on! Pretty much any store you can name has some sort of sale going on, even the designer brands like Prada. I went to South Coast Plaza with Mama Wu on Saturday because we got a call from Prada telling us they had a 30% off sale! It’s my mum’s birthday next Wednesday so she wanted to treat herself to something nice. (Trust me, we rarely ever buy designer things so don’t worry. I am no where near loaded!) We went in first to see the bags and then went to do more shopping so my mum could decide if she wanted one of the purses or not. And of course I made a trip to J.Crew and Madewell (It’s a given!) I got a handful of goodies on sale that were on my wish list and I am super excited to wear them out. After J.Crew, Madewell, and Bloomingdales (I also stopped by Victoria’s Secret to get those adorable 5 for $26 undies!) we went back to Prada. I found out that the Prada employees told Grace (The lovely woman who helps us whenever we visit) that I was adorable and that they loved my outfit, especially my Missoni for Target cardigan!! The funny thing is that when I wore my cardigan to school everyone stared and though it was the ugliest thing ever. But when I wore it to the mall on Saturday I got compliments from random Bloomingdale’s employees, Madewell employees, and even Prada employees!! I was basically on cloud nine for the rest of the day.
Love love love,

Birmingham Jacket

My latest obsession? Madewell’s Birmingham Jacket. I’ve been on the fence about it, actually. It’s like an oversized sweater but also a bit like a cape (Maybe not, I don’t really know). The colours combination is so interesting and intriguing. The only reason why I’m hesitant about wanting/buying this jacket is because I would have no idea how to wear it. But Elle Fanning popped up on my Tumblr dashboard, dressed like this:

And just a side fact; I absolutely adore Elle Fanning. I’m a fan gurl. So now, I must have the jacket. Although I’m not a big fan of how she styled the jacket, I can totally see myself wearing it just like the model on the Madewell site is wearing it. A button up, dark wash jeans, wine loafers and all. (Oh no, I might have to add loafers to my never ending wish list now).

The Batchel

I have been eyeing the Cambridge Satchel‘s “Batchel” for the longest time. I really want a nice satchel to bring to school and the vintage brown 15″ batchel is just perfect. I have heard so many wonderful reviews from multiple people and fashion blogs that I just have to have one! It’s a whopping $145 but if it is as perfect as everyone says it is, it will (hopefully) last me a life time! So I guess this is another item on my long wish list!
